I was born in Fargo, North Dakota during the middle of winter on my father's birthday. Some birthday present!!

I lived on a   farm   as a youngster until, we moved into town. After we moved into town, we still went to visit the relatives a quite a bit that still lived on farms.
My older brother and I, after we got a little older helped out on our relatives farms with the crops and the animals.

1. I got involved in sports in school and still helped out on the farm on weekends.
2. I later went to work for an Arabian horse farm just a few miles outside of town, so that was more convenient.
3. Later I got a job working for a pelleting plant, even closer to town, and making a lot more money.

• I graduated from high school and worked all summer.
• I started going to Mankato State College, until I received a notice to please come see us.
• I then enlisted in the USMC, with the intent to put in my four years and get out. Well, four years turned into just over 22 years.

The following table is some of the places that I have visited while I was in the USMC.

My first Overseas Tour started with the Philippines, then on to Vietnam.	Another Overseas Tour took me to Japan, and a visit to Taiwan.	Additional Tours took me back to Japan, and the Philippines, to South Korea, and Australia

Before I retired from the Marine Corps I started a bit of a farm.
